Diablo 3 stuck on updating blizzard update agent
i checked the proxy setting in IE and changed it to automatic and it all worked. I was NOT reinstalling or had changed anything on my PC or game and I cannot even get to the loggin screen this morning.
I'm on Win 7 64 bit, and I havent had this issue, with Warcraft or with SC, just diablo now. All we want to do is fix the issue, and I've read at least a dozen topics on this same issue or issues similar. It was working for me earlier, after I ran the main (I don't own the discs, dl off the internet) then after that it started giving me the port 1119 port error. This issue is so messed up, it exists since blizzard released their game and is still not fixed, horray \o/I have literally tried every think that they have said and everything I have read on here and nothing works.Please click the link below for more information or contact Customer Support if the problem persists. Every time I open my launcher that little window pops up, however I've never had it hang.

Graev has Windows Vista and could not get past the “Updating Setup Files” little window that came up. ) This one worked for me: try and find the agent application in the folder (for example C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\battle.net\Agent). Check the folder you downloaded your files into for any that say . Run the downloader in the same directly you chose originally and it should fix the files automatically and/or finish downloading.
We scoured the support forums for days, Googled, and had no luck until tonight. Choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) (Note: Does not work on Vista.) Right Click the Icon, Run as Administrator. Delete your C:\Program Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Cache folder. Run the Downloader again, as administrator, and see if it gets past the “Updating Setup Files” window. Here is the fix that finally worked for Graev: Fix #1 Go to Control Panel Properties Change it from ‘Disabled’ to ‘Automatic’ Run your Diablo 3 setup as administrator and it should quickly go through Updating Setup Files and bring you to an install screen.
