Bible dating in purity singleness
"marry" is more literally "touch a woman", referring to sexual intercourse. It is not exlusively talking about whether a man should get married, but more generally whether sex is a good thing. It is good to abstain from sex, but not at the cost of committing sexual immorality.
What about Christians who are married to non-Christians?But in fact marriage is primarily about the relationship between husband and wife. In chapter 10 he'll mention that "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.We trust everyday, even if we don’t think about it. If you are a Christian, then you trust God with your eternity. You trust God to bring you to heaven because your faith is in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins. But if you are a kinda sorta Christian, then you trust God…but only sometimes. Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am.
But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
For example, God says to use your words to build others up, but kinda sorta Christians are willing to gossip about people, and lie to people in order to get their way. The one person we should always turn to with our problems is God, because God wants us to bring our problems to him.
God calls us to purity in our dating relationships, but kinda sorta Christians don’t follow God’s standards. And the way to bring your problems to God is to pray to him.
But true followers of Jesus bring their problems to God because God cares about us. God wants us to trust him for salvation, but he wants us to trust him with every part of our lives too. When you face a big decision in life, or are in the midst of a difficult struggle, turn to God for help.
Don’t trust just in what you think is right, or even in what your friends are telling you to do. Life is better when you learn to trust God all the time.
And God promises that if we do this, then our lives will be better.
